Softaculous is a powerful auto-installer that allows you to install WordPress in just a few clicks. Here is a step-by-step guide:
- Login to your cPanel account. You can usually do this by going to yourdomain.com/cpanel.
- Scroll down to the "Software" section and click on "Softaculous Apps Installer".
- In the Softaculous interface, find WordPress and click the "Install" button.
- Choose the "Quick Install" or "Custom Install". We recommend Custom Install for more control.
- Software Setup:
- Choose the protocol (https:// is recommended).
- Choose your domain.
- In Directory: leave empty if you want WordPress on the main site (e.g., yourdomain.com).
- Site Settings: Enter your Site Name and Site Description.
- Admin Account: Create a strong Admin Username and Password. Do not use "admin" as username for security reasons.
- Scroll down and click "Install".
Wait for the progress bar to finish. Once completed, you will receive links to your new website and the admin dashboard (/wp-admin).
